A demonstration piece, not commissioned work. Haircare advertising is one of the most demanding categories in television — flowing hair, skin tone, controlled studio light — which makes it a fair test of whether generative video is ready for real brand work rather than only for stylised content.
Building it as a recognisable category piece rather than an abstract showreel was the point: a client can look at it and judge whether the technology clears their bar.
What It Proves
Hair in motion is the category's signature shot and the thing generative models historically get wrong. Getting it to move with weight is the whole test.
Consistent talent across cuts — the same face, the same styling, shot to shot.
Studio-grade lighting, matched between setups so the edit holds together.
A finished structure — hook, product, endframe — rather than a loop of pretty footage.
The Honest Version
Made entirely with Seedance. It is a concept piece using an existing brand's category language to make a technical argument, and it should be read that way: proof of a production method, not a campaign that ran.
